Description
Street Smarts VR proposes to adapt the most up-to-date version of the available training system, currently in use with both non-defense and USAF Security Force customers, to develop single-user and multi-user training scenarios specific to AFGSC needs and training requirements. These scenarios include both the development of environmental assets (bases, terrain, facilities, etc.) and the incorporation of Global Strike-specific training objectives and outcomes. Global Strike Security Forces have a mission set that is unique and distinct from other Security Force units - namely the protection and defense of the nation’s nuclear missiles and bombers. They therefore require training scenarios that replicate the specifics of their operating environment. At the same time, Global Strike Defenders never operate individually, as some on-base law enforcement officers might, and so the AFGSC requires a VR training solution that supports two users simultaneously. This capability will enable the trainees to practice paired tactical communication, movement, and decision-making. Creating this technical capability also requires the creation of training content that supports this use case; meeting these requirements will be facilitated by leveraging the lessons identified during the adaptation of single-user scenarios to the Global Strike Security Forces environment.
