Description

Branch Technology has developed a revolutionary method of large-scale Freeform 3D-Printing for construction called Cellular Fabrication (C-FAB) that brings unprecedented design freedom, resource stewardship, and manufacturing efficiency to the construction arena. By combining prefabrication and additive manufacturing, C-FAB will enable cost and time savings for Air Force end-users while also allowing for fabrication of geometrically complex, large-scale components that cannot be economically produced with normal methods. In order to bring this technology to the Air Force, robotic, autonomous, and deployable (RAD) factories for 3D-printed construction will be developed that produce modular, finished construction components that can be shipped to any job-site for rapid installation. RAD factories can be established at any US military post and would serve both domestic and forward operating bases with end-to-end construction solutions. The operational adaptability that Air Force users would experience from RAD factory deployment will assist with both combat and noncombat missions by enabling greater on-site efficiency, autonomy, and independence from outside-contractors for construction projects. Branch and its diverse team of architects, engineers, physicists, programmers, and industrial designers have already had success in the non-defense sector with nearly $3 million in project sales and nearly $8 million in investment.
