EMERGENT SPACE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — Department of Defense SBIR Phase II: NASAS4.01
EMERGENT SPACE TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — SBIR Phase II award from Department of Defense.
Phase II SBIR prototype / development signal
- Phase II is where Department of Defense funds deeper R&D after feasibility. Incumbents with Phase II history are serious competitors on adjacent topics.
- Use this award as past-performance context and to map customer organizations for STRATFI/TACFI-style transition planning.
- Obligated amount $994,994 is consistent with substantial Phase II-scale effort; compare to related awards from the same agency.
- Topic code NASAS4.01 links this award to a solicitation family — search the same topic stem for incumbents and recompete timing.

Description
An ad hoc network of small computing nodes is used to gather sensor measurements available from distributed sensor systems. Traditional communications (comm) systems used by sensor networks rely on a hub and spoke architecture that is prone to bottle-necks and routing disruptions. In a cluster or formation or mobile systems, routing of data must be more dynamic and ideally would make use of diverse pathways and data media to route data. We are proposing a system for gathering health data from a distributed network of sensors like those that might be on a ship or aircraft, to a central location for fault detection processing.
