Description

FireHUD has developed a real-time, IoT solution for monitoring and analyzing the biometrics of individuals and groups. The solution is currently in use in the firefighting industry but can be applied to any scenario where aggregated group monitoring of physiological status is warranted. The system monitors biometrics through the use of a non-invasive, arm-worn device which provides hands-free collection of vital signs. The device promptly transmits the data via a long range radio network, allowing for real-time strategic decision-making by authorized officials over broad areas that are lacking in network coverage. Additionally, the biometric data is recorded for future analysis through a fleet of software tools. The difference in this technology versus other wearables is the combination of biometric sensors with an IoT-based radio network. This radio network provides high levels of fidelity in areas where bluetooth or LTE based networks lose coverage. Additionally, the intuitive, cross-platform web application allows for real-time and post-incident analysis of both the individual user and the entire team’s vitals. The software also provides tools for authorized officials to review and analyze the group’s or individual’s biometrics in order to pinpoint weaknesses in their training regimens and assess the health of individuals in their group.
