Description
The seeds of failures of Defense projects can often be traced back to poor quality requirements and a lack of portfolio level coherence between associated projects. Because projects have become so complex, 100% paper-based methods are no longer suitable for requirements management. In June 2018, the DoD released its Digital Engineering Strategy which calls on the services to “move the primary means of communication from documents to digital models and data.� For the past 20 years, NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA) have been using Concurrent Design as a way to accelerate and de-risk projects as well as reduce project costs through the use of digital models. InnoVet is partnering with RHEA Group, Europe's premier firm specializing in Concurrent Design, to bring this exciting new capability to the USAF. In 2018 & 2019, InnoVet Europe and RHEA successfully completed Phase I of a similar project to deliver Concurrent Design to the Dutch Ministry of Defence. Now the USAF Global Strike Command (AFGSC) has asked InnoVet to implement the same hardware, software and processes as key components of the AFGSC Portfolio Digital Engineering Platform that will enable commanders to make rigorous, timely and defensible decisions for higher headquarters consideration.
