Description
A 1280x720 on 8 µm pitch short wave infrared (SWIR) imager will be developed for night vision goggle applications. This imager will be low cost, <$1000 in quantity, have high sensitivity capable of imaging under overcast starlight, and be low power, <2 W for full camera system. This SWIR imager will feature a spectral range from 400 to 1700 nm enabling detection of most of the lasers deployed on the battlefield. The low noise imager will leverage a new read out integrated amplifier to achieve low noise. To achieve low cost the imagers will be fabricated using wafer scale hybridization.
