Description
Spectral Labs will build off its DHS/DOE/DOD and commercially funded Realistic, Adaptive, Interactive Learning System (RAILS) for computer based simulation and training of Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE) to provide Air Force EOD personnel with fully immersive VR simulations in which to train vital concepts related specifically to the EOD’s countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD) and Counter IED mission areas as well as others. High fidelity simulation of virtual environments and detailed modeling and simulation of all equipment required for the mission will be developed. In addition to the simulation and modeling effort, guided computer-based training within the virtual environment will be developed so that the software may be used in an active training mode and an open simulation mode (sandbox mode). The first program phase will enable Spectral Labs to target additional stakeholders in addition to those already identified and discussed in the proposed work in order to refine requirements and focus a Phase 2 design effort to a solution with broader benefit to the USAF.
