Description

Block chain technology or a distributed ledger system (DLS) has many applications that revolve around banking and cryptocurrency transactions. Our goal is to turn that virtual wallet which is capable of securely carrying user account and transaction information into a virtual backpack, fully capable of storing whatever media or information the user needs to store securely. Utilizing SHA2 methodologies, many Block chain systems are secure due to the sheer number of combinations and difficulty of breaking the algorithms involved. The hash tokens generated from verified transactions are shared across a network of other users, called nodes. Hash codes are unique such that any tampering results in a change to the resulting hash token. Since these tokens are on other systems, this creates a secure environment that is many degrees more difficult to attack than a simple centralized system. Given the nature of a distributed system which shares information across a network, we will also have layers of AES complaint encryption to store sensitive material that simply cannot be hashed and distributed. Furthermore, we will create a system of smaller nodes that have designated security clearance. These systems will form a watchdog type network which can also monitor less secure networks
