Description
A need exists for a power-and-energy dense, lightweight modular Integrated Fuel Cell System, IFCS, able to operate with available aviation fuels. The proposed Phase I effort initiates the development of an IFCS based on Infinitys current generation modular fuel cells integrated with advanced state-of-the art reformer technology. The goal of this effort is to develop the conceptual design, analysis and development plans leading to a market-viable liquid fueled IFCS. The Infinity IFCS will incorporate the operational advantages of its lightweight, rugged Proton Exchange Membrane fuel cells with the fuel flexibility and extended operational capability provided by advanced reformer technology.
