Description
An innovative telescopic ramp system is proposed to launch and retrieve small manned and unmanned, surface and subsurface vehicles from the Joint High Speed Vessel (JHSV). The system uses a wheeled cradle traveling on a telescopic ramp to L&R small vehicles, which include 11-meter Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs), 40-foot High Speed Boats (HSBs), SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDVs), Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUVs), and 40-foot long endurance drones. The system is man-rated and can be safely operated throughout Sea State 3. It has a smaller footprint than an 11-meter RHIB so that it can be easily stowed onboard the JHSV and also transportable. No modification is required to the JHSV structure.
