iRocket has a proprietary Afterburning rocket engine that will be key in building a reusable small launch vehicle to cargo 300 kg- 1500 kg to orbit for government and commercial customers. Reusable small launch vehicles will allow for rapid response and increased frequency of launch, which can be scaled up for larger launch vehicles, 10,000kg or larger. ​With the help of this Phase 1 contract, IRocket will identify the US Air Force customers and their needs and work with them over the course of Phase 1 to produce a plan to integrate the Reusable Small Launch Technology, with the end goal to secure a launch contract.
