Description
SciGenesis will apply its FR-technology to nylon-only and nylon/cotton (50/50) blended yarns to demonstrate the feasibility of this technological platform at the individual yarn stage (i.e. pre-woven). The unique FR chemistry that SciGenesis has developed encompasses char promoting agents, heat reflective particles, Lewis-acid catalysts and a laundering durable binding system. Implementing this technology into the individual yarns will improve the FR characteristics of fibers by improving fiber penetration and treatment homogeneity.
