Description

As Department of Defense (DoD) needs and requirements change, there is a developing need for Radio Frequency (RF) antenna systems that can support higher performance missions. These missions require increased apertures to be available from the same satellite platform, and will additionally require that this capability be delivered at a lower mission cost. MMA Design has developed a concept for a new deployable reflectarray antenna architecture that leverages a flight demonstrated deployable membrane de-orbit system, currently at TRL-9 and MRL-9, and modifies that system to include RF antenna capabilities over a wide range of frequencies.
