Description
The primary objective of this effort will be the development, demonstration, and validation of a new suite of modeling and simulation capability for Navy analysis needs. The tool suite will utilize a new framework for implementing components models that will allow users to more easily access multiple analytical domains, including steady-state on-design and dynamic off-design. A new suite of tools built on this framework will be applied to demonstration problems relevant to next generation Navy system needs. New capability, including architecture and controls synthesis will be deployed to the demonstration problems to aid in tool development while highlighting capability. A hardware validation effort will consider not just plant comparisons, but also specific capabilities and processes enabled by the tool such as control generation for use on hardware designs. PCKA will validate plant, controls, and processes using a hardware demonstrator, and deliver the completed suite of tools to the Navy at the completion of the effort.
