Description
Poseidon Systems, LLC in collaboration with the DEI Group and Lockheed Martin, proposes to develop fluid quality monitoring systems (FQMS) for online monitoring of shipboard fuels and oils. These systems will include a set of online sensors specifically designed to address the current testing requirements outlined in NSTM-262 and NSTM-542 while providing additional fault coverage and prognostic capabilities. The system interface will be designed to support direct integration with the ship"s CBM network and the LCSs"Machinery Reliability Management System (MRMS) for data acquisition, processing, archival and visualization. The end-to-end concept of online fuel and oil monitoring will be developed to align with current Navy practices to allow for rapid transition to the fleet and provide immediate benefits in terms of reduced manning requirements and increased system reliability. Prototype systems will be demonstrated to Navy personnel and other stakeholders at the conclusion of Phase I.
