Description
The US Air Force has the significant mission of providing time sensitive, mission critical medical support during the first phase of Tactical Casualty Combat Care (TCCC), Care Under Fire (CUF), events on the battlefield and beyond. Current methods for CUF medical training are both logistically complex and cost-prohibitive due to the need to procure and set up mock environments that reflect the real-life pressured operations of treating warfighters during Care Under Fire. The innovative Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System facilitates fully immersive, multiplayer virtual simulation training for CUF protocols. This system provides the warfighter with effective training opportunities that simulate the psychosocial and environmental realism of CUF incidents.
