Description
Design Interactive, Inc. (DI) proposes the development of DIDACT (Digital-twin Integrated Development of Adaptive Content for Training), which will address the needs of Marine Corps schoolhouses by leveraging digital twins as assets for building immersive, simulated training scenarios. DIDACT is an enterprise-scale software solution with a focus on maintenance tasks that integrates digital twins and their associated data with immersive content creation capabilities and adaptive training algorithms to accelerate the acquisition of knowledge and increase learning gains. DIDACT will further provide the capability to rapidly create digital twins based on various source data. At a high level, DIDACT represents a complete ecosystem for the development, integration, and use of digital twins in immersive, simulated scenarios for maintenance training. Instructors using DIDACT will be able to import various source media for the creation of digital twins and other assets. They can then design scenarios from these assets with the help of built-in tools for creating training curricula. Trainees will be able to access content created in DIDACT through eLearning platforms they already use such as Moodle. Furthermore, DIDACT will make use of DI’s Adaptive Framework Formula (AFF) to actively recommend and tailor content to individual trainees to maximize learning outcomes.
