Description

PCR and immunological based biodetection technologies are incapable of addressing real-time point-of-care (POC) detection of current and rapidly evolving medical pathogens such as COVID-19 SARS CoV-2, new and evolving bio-weapon threats, and food and water pathogens.  Recently advertised ‘real-time’ products still require significant time for sample processing, and these products have limited sensitivity and accuracy.  GlyderTech Inc. has demonstrated that, utilizing well-established principles of piezoresistive MEMS technology, COVID-19 SARS CoV-2 RNA can be detected within seconds even in the presence of saliva. The sensitivity, speed and reliability of core components have been successfully demonstrated for rapid, multiplex detection of a broad range of viruses and bacteria (including anthracis, pertussis, enterica, pneumoniae, MRSA, and pestis) and viral strains (including adenovirus, Ebola, influenza, HPV and smallpox).  This technology has also been proven to be ambivalent to particulate fouling and biological/chemical interference from a wide array of background contaminants such as dust, blood and sputum.  Other demonstrated features include high sensitivity (20 CFU/ml), high specificity, and fast sample to result speed (
