Description
Future, multi-domain operational environments will require tools and systems that decrease the skill and experience level required to correctly perform critical patient care procedures, including airway management. InnoVital Systems proposes to develop the Next-Generation Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA), a universal device with guidance that facilitates placement to the correct depth and an adaptable design that maximizes ventilation and prevents NPA collapse. Device design and materials will facilitate ease of use and safety during placement, removal, and when the device is seated. NPA securement and compatibility with key accessories (e.g., for monitoring and oxygen delivery) are also design priorities. Product features will translate well to civilian pre-hospital and in-hospital environments and markets.
