Description
SiC is an agile and efficient provider of NexGen, TRL-9 Carbon Ceramic Brakes with a focus on ARMY Ground Transportation cost reduction and longer service life, protecting Airmen by outfitting road and off-road vehicles with a safer, longer lasting, and more powerful braking technology. SiC currently provides its signature SiC Brake to commercial vehicle, racing, and performance markets with a current outlook for aerospace and locomotive markets. The ARMY would benefit by decreasing fuel reduction costs per annum using SiC Brake directly since the material of carbon ceramic is so much lighter than traditional iron discs. Not only is the weight reduction a key factor to reducing CO2 emissions, but the durability of the material increases the life of the rotor by three (3) to four (4) times, and due to the material hardness, the material producing 90% fewer fine powders in the environment through wear and tear. SiC Technologies’ lightweight hybrid composite brake system helps commercial vehicles gain an average of $186,000 back in freight revenue and increase the lifetime value proposition to $1.9 million per truck (Freight revenue + Fuel Savings + Maintenance savings).
