Description
This Phase I proposal to Topic N191-038 describes BTech’s approach to transferring data through a submarine hull with a data capacity in excess of 10k bit/sec (bps) using piezoelectric ultrasonic transducers. Some of the communication techniques include signaling to increase data packet detection at lower power levels. The Phase I baseline design of the signal schemes and the transducer system will be recommended based on past work and experience with broadband acoustic communication systems.
