Description
Digital Solid State Propulsion Inc. is proposing the development of a reusable electric blank system that leverages over 10 years of success in formulating, engineering, and manufacturing Electric Solid Propellants for the space, defense, and entertainment industries. DSSP already has a pyrotechnic solution to battlefield effects simulating small arms fire based on eSquib technology, however, for this program, the propellant used in the eSquib will be replaced with a new material that is not a propellant while generating the same effect and removing any hazards associated the the effect. When energized with a high voltage, high current pulse, this reusable electric small arms fire simulator (eSAF) will emit an impressive flash and loud report, much like a small firecracker without using any pyrotechnics. Using the electronic systems DSSP has already designed, the effect can be integrated into a family of products to provide both visual and audible effects simulating small arms fire.
