EMAG TECHNOLOGIES INC. — Department of Defense SBIR Phase II: A17-024

EMAG TECHNOLOGIES INC. — SBIR Phase II award from Department of Defense.

Phase II SBIR prototype / development signal

  • Phase II is where Department of Defense funds deeper R&D after feasibility. Incumbents with Phase II history are serious competitors on adjacent topics.
  • Use this award as past-performance context and to map customer organizations for STRATFI/TACFI-style transition planning.
  • Obligated amount $998,298 is consistent with substantial Phase II-scale effort; compare to related awards from the same agency.

Description

The objective of this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project is to develop a comprehensive modeling environment for the accurate study of propagation channels and development of communication systems with particular emphasis on the HF/VHF frequency bands. The proposed software will provide accurate solutions based on full-wave modeling of the scene as well as a high degree of computational efficiency using a combination of hardware and software acceleration schemes including code parallelization, domain decomposition, multi-core threading as well as hybrid full-wave and asymptotic techniques under certain assumptions. A fully parametric CAD modeling environment will be provided capable of dynamically generating and reconfiguring mobile network scenarios.
